Every day, I have the profound privilege of working alongside some of the hardest-working individuals I know. They don't wear suits, and they don't carry briefcases. They are children—children who show up to therapy sessions ready to tackle immense challenges with courage and resilience that inspire me endlessly.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I witness firsthand the transformative power of therapy. I see the moment a child finds their voice, the joy of a breakthrough after weeks of struggle, and the relief on a parent's face when their child reaches a new milestone. But I also see the barriers. Too often, the therapies and adaptive equipment these children desperately need are out of reach due to financial constraints or insurance limitations.That is why I am running the Falmouth Road Race this year. I am running to support the Lead Out Foundation, an incredible organization that bridges the gap for families facing mobility and accessibility challenges due to disabilities.

The Lead Out Foundation provides vital grants that fund essential therapies, adaptive equipment, and accessibility modifications. I have worked side-by-side with children who have directly benefited from these grants. Because of the Lead Out Foundation, these children gained access to the therapies they needed to thrive. Without this support, they would have missed out on life-changing services.
