My Story…
I’m excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race on August 16th in support of Gosnold Behavioral Health, which is a leading and compassionate provider of mental health care, addiction service and ongoing recovery services in Massachusetts. My personal fundraising goal is $1,000, and every donation helps support Gosnold’s mission of providing life-changing care. Thank you for your support and generosity!
Description
Founded in Falmouth, MA in 1972, Gosnold is a mission-driven, award-winning treatment facility that offers a wide range of comprehensive treatment options for behavioral health and substance use disorders. Our mission is to excel in addiction and mental health treatment, to serve individuals and families affected by these illnesses, and to promote lasting recovery. Driven by a strong commitment to addressing the most urgent needs of the communities we serve, we believe that all people deserve access to high quality, compassionate care, regardless of their economic or social condition.
Some of our current programs and services include inpatient detoxification, residential rehabilitation programs, long-term sober living residences, partial hospital programs, intensive outpatient programs, individual, couples and family counseling, recovery coaching, emergency room navigation and family education/support programs. Each program is tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
While all health care providers struggle with insurance reimbursement rates, the challenge is particularly hard for nonprofit, mission-driven treatment centers like Gosnold. This is largely because of our steadfast commitment to treating all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Many of our patients are uninsured or have insurance with low-reimbursing assistance benefits. While private and for-profit providers often turn away patients with plans that don't reimburse well, Gosnold strives to work with everyone, and this can present a significant financial challenge.
