My RMH Motivation
This August I am running the Falmouth Road Race for a cause that is close to my heart.
In 2018, my sister spent several months in Minnesota receiving medical treatment. With my parents switching off who was by her side, and the rest of us making the trip out on weekends when we could, the Ronald McDonald House of the Midwest gave our family a real place to land. A warm meal, private quarters, and a welcoming space to come back to each day made an incredibly hard season feel a little more like home. As the younger sibling back home, knowing they had that comfort gave me real peace of mind during an otherwise uncertain time.
That same support is what the Ronald McDonald Houses in Providence and at Boston Harbor provide to hundreds of families every single year who travel to New England to access our world class medical care. Along with the emotional weight of having a child in treatment, these families face the reality of high local housing costs and the stress of navigating an unfamiliar place. RMHC is there to remove those barriers so families can focus on what matters most: their child’s health and healing,
On August 16, Team RMHCNE will race the historic 7 mile Falmouth course to help provide over 1,000 nights of housing and support for families of critically ill children.
Please consider donating to this incredible cause and sharing this page with someone who might want to help too. Every contribution makes a real difference for families who need it most.
Description
As the excitement builds for the upcoming Falmouth Road Race I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support of a cause that truly matters – supporting families in need through Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England.
With every stride we take, we are not just covering miles, we are helping provide a home away from home. On August 16, 2026 Team RMHCNE will hit the pavement to race the historic 7 mile course, while raising critical funds to support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence and the Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor.
Each year hundreds of families travel to New England from locations all over the world to give their child access to the best medical care. In doing so, they face enormous hurdles such as navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. At the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England, we remove the stress of daily living and support families to enable them to focus on what really matters: their child’s health and healing.
This year Team RMHCNE will work together to provide over 1,000 nights of housing, comfort and support for families of critically ill children. Together, we can reduce the stress associated with financial strain so families can focus on the health of their children.
I hope I can count on you to support my run by contributing to this very special program. Together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
