My Story…
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Any donation is so appreciated.
I will be running my 3rd Falmouth Road Race this summer. This race has always been on my bucket list of races to run - I can't believe this is already year 3!
This year I will be running again for the Boston North Cancer Association. This organization helps reduce the risk of cancer and enhance the many lives it has affected. BNCA supports community programs and provides resources for education & prevention in our area on the North Shore.
The Boston North Cancer Association also sponsors a scholastic Scholarship Program for local graduating high school seniors. This program supports students affected by the hardships posed by cancer so they may achieve their dreams of higher education, and also one student for a medical school scholarship.
I have had the pleasure of attending this scholarship reception with my family at the Danversport Yacht Club. It is an event my grandmother wants to attend each year with all of her girls - aunts & granddaughters.
Sadly, this disease has directly affected our BNCA Team Captain, Kaleigh (Barbuzzi) Sabourin as her mother passed away 7 years ago. Kaleigh and I played Swampscott MS & HS Field Hockey together when we were younger, and now have gone full circle as we watch our kids play sports together and coach alongside each other for my non-profit organization, Swampscott Youth Field Hockey. Her mother, Mary Barbuzzi, was a huge supporter of Swampscott Field Hockey and most importantly her daughter, Kaleigh.
Let's work together to put an end to cancer. Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $1,500.00 for this organization! Thank you so very much for your support.
With love!
