My Story…
Dear family & friends,
Since 2013, I’ve had the privilege of working at The Children’s Room, supporting grieving children, teens, and families across Massachusetts. Every day, I am humbled by the incredible support kids and teens are able to give one another simply through the shared experience of grief — often in ways far more powerful than anything I alone could provide.
At The Children’s Room, we support children and teens ages 3½–18, along with the caregiving adults who come alongside them, after the death of a parent or sibling. The heart of our work is creating space for families to be in community with others who understand what they are going through. Through connection, shared experiences, and guided support, individuals find a community where they can feel less alone, more connected, and more supported in the aftermath of profound loss.
All of our grief support services are provided free of charge, and this year I’m proud to be running my first road race to help raise funds for the kids, teens, and families I have the honor of supporting each and every day.
Any contribution, large or small, helps make this work possible and ensures families can continue to access support when they need it most. Thank you so much for supporting me and The Children’s Room.

Thank you again for helping ensure that our work at The Children’s Room continues to remain free for all families, and for helping me reach my fundraising goal!
With so much appreciation,
- Jen
