My Story...
I’m very excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race once again as a member of “Team Respite”. I will be running to help raise funds to support The Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. This Center provides support for children and adults with disabilities and their families. My nephew Carter, who was diagnosed with Lissencephaly at birth, is a graduate of this wonderful facility. The staff at the center are so kind and caring and provide a warm, nurturing, fun environment for the children and adults who attend. The infant/toddler program is 100% funded by donations and is free of charge. This is a great burden lifted off families who don’t have the necessary means to pay for child care while also dealing with other medical expenses they may have. The Michael Lisnow Respite Center is a home away from home for children and adults with disabilities, a place that offers parents time off from the emotional and physical care needed by their children.
100% of the proceeds will benefit the Michael Lisnow Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded to children in our daycare whose families cannot afford services. Every dollar counts!
