Falmouth Road Race, here I come!

This will be my first time running this race and will be running for team MSPCA-Angell. 

Don't get me wrong - people are great, but animals are REALLY great. MSPCA-Angell is an amazing organization protecting the animals in our community. They care for thousands of animals each year providing hands-on veterinary care; finding loving homes; delivering vital resources and keeping families and pets together; transporting animals in need; improving animal protection laws; and protecting animals from cruelty. 

We lost our first family dog, Gracie, from a car crash in July of 2022. She had injuries beyond repair which led to a gut-wrenching decision of having to put her down to relieve her suffering. Having gone through one of the worst days of my life, when it was time to take legal action for the accident, my first (and last) meeting with the first attorney I had told me "Your dog doesn't matter - your dog was a piece of property. She has no impact on your case." No compassion. No justice. No laws to protect her. 

I'm running for Gracie and all the other Gracie's out there, because dogs (and other animals) do matter, and they are our pets and part of our families - not property.
