My Story…
Hi Everyone,
I am running for Gosnold again this year in the Falmouth road race! For more than 50 years, Gosnold, a non profit, has provided compassionate treatment, recovery, support prevention services and educational programs that help people build healthier lives and stronger communities. Their work changes the lives of those in need of mental health and recovery support every day. I am honored to run on behalf of this incredible organization and would be grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Gosnell continue providing critical care and services to individuals and families on their recovery journey. Thank you for considering a contribution and for supporting this important cause!
Description
Founded in Falmouth, MA in 1972, Gosnold is a mission-driven, award-winning treatment facility that offers a wide range of comprehensive treatment options for behavioral health and substance use disorders. Our mission is to excel in addiction and mental health treatment, to serve individuals and families affected by these illnesses, and to promote lasting recovery. Driven by a strong commitment to addressing the most urgent needs of the communities we serve, we believe that all people deserve access to high quality, compassionate care, regardless of their economic or social condition.
Some of our current programs and services include inpatient detoxification, residential rehabilitation programs, long-term sober living residences, partial hospital programs, intensive outpatient programs, individual, couples and family counseling, recovery coaching, emergency room navigation and family education/support programs. Each program is tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
While all health care providers struggle with insurance reimbursement rates, the challenge is particularly hard for nonprofit, mission-driven treatment centers like Gosnold. This is largely because of our steadfast commitment to treating all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Many of our patients are uninsured or have insurance with low-reimbursing assistance benefits. While private and for-profit providers often turn away patients with plans that don't reimburse well, Gosnold strives to work with everyone, and this can present a significant financial challenge.
