My Story…
Frankie’s medical journey has been one filled with challenges, uncertainty, fear, and resilience. As parents, there is nothing harder than watching your child go through medical obstacles and feeling helpless at times while trying to stay strong for your family. Through countless appointments, hospital stays, procedures, and difficult moments, our family was constantly searching for hope and something positive to hold onto during some of the darkest days.
That is exactly what Make-A-Wish Foundation gave to our family. Make-A-Wish provided us with more than just a trip or an experience — they gave us joy, excitement, strength, and precious memories together during a time when life felt overwhelmingly heavy. For Frankie and our entire family, it gave us something to genuinely look forward to when so much of our lives revolved around medical stress and uncertainty.
Even now, being part of the Wish Family community continues to have such a meaningful impact on our lives. The events, support, and connections remind us that we are not alone and that there is still so much kindness and light in the world. Seeing the happiness and excitement these experiences continue to bring our children is something I will forever be grateful for.
Because of the impact Make-A-Wish had on Frankie and our family, I am incredibly honored to run the Falmouth Road Race in support of this amazing organization. Every mile I run represents hope for another child and family facing difficult medical battles. My goal is to help raise funds so other families can experience the same joy, strength, and unforgettable memories that Make-A-Wish gave to us during one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
Running this race is deeply personal to me. It is my way of giving back to an organization that brought comfort, happiness, and hope to our family when we needed it most.
