Help Erik raise money

        Hi, my name is Erik and I am running the Falmouth Road Race for the KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation, whose #1 mission is raising awareness, promoting research, and advocating for policies that prioritize the prevention and management of anaphylaxis.

        My own younger brother, Dylan, was diagnosed with severe anaphylactic food allergies as an infant. Growing up beside him has given me an appreciation for the efforts of both my brother himself and the village it takes to ensure that he not only manages his anaphylaxis well but lives life to his full potential. Allergies are a hidden disease, often misunderstood for intolerances, or played down in severity. This makes spreading awareness for anaphylaxis, a core mission of the KeepSmilin4Abbie foundation, a necessity. Food is a staple of our being and a focus of celebration in our culture, and those with allergies have to navigate these seemingly simple events with great care and caution. My brother is lucky enough to have grown up with an army at his back in support of his anaphylactic journey and while he still manages many, he has outgrown a few of his allergies. This is not the case for all though, and I am grateful for the opportunity to run in support of KeepSmilin4Abbie's mission to raise awareness for and promote research regarding the prevention and treatment of anaphylaxis.
