Help Kaighla raise money

This year, I am honored to run the Falmouth Road Race for the I Got You Foundation, a foundation created by Kelley and Robbie Hendricks after the unimaginable loss of their beautiful son, Ryan, shortly after his 20th birthday.

This race has always held a deep place in my heart. On Road Race Sunday in 2012, I went into detox. What could have stayed one of the hardest days of my life has become a yearly reminder of recovery, grace, second chances, and how far I have come. Each year, I run with gratitude for the people who helped carry me when I could not carry myself, and with a commitment to keep turning my own healing into purpose.

That is why running for the I Got You Foundation feels so meaningful. Kelley and Robbie have taken their grief and transformed it into something that continues to help others. Through Ryan’s name, they provide scholarships to local students pursuing their academic, athletic, and professional goals, and they support families who are living through the heartbreaking loss of a child.

No parent should ever have to bury a child, and no family should have to walk through that pain alone.

This year, every mile I run is for recovery, for community, for Ryan, and for the families this foundation supports. Any donation, big or small, helps continue Ryan’s legacy and allows the I Got You Foundation to keep showing up for others in the most meaningful way.
