My Story…
I’m proud to run the Falmouth Road Race supporting Learn to Cope, a peer-led network that provides education, resources, and hope to families impacted by substance use disorder. This mission is deeply personal to me, as addiction has affected my family.
Falmouth holds a special place in my heart, and running this race is always a highlight of my summer. The energy is incredible, and I’m so happy to be running for something bigger this year.
Learn to Cope, founded in 2004 by Joanne Peterson, is a peer-led nonprofit built by and for families navigating the challenges of a loved one’s addiction. It provides a space where people who often feel overwhelmed or alone can show up, share openly, and leave feeling a little more supported and understood.
I’ve learned that when we stand by our loved ones with compassion and support, we also find strength in ourselves, and we don’t have to do it alone.
I’m running to raise awareness, support families, and help bring hope and connection to those facing these difficult journeys.
Any donation goes directly toward keeping these meetings running, these resources available, and this support in place for the next family that needs it. Thank you for considering!
