I will be running the Falmouth Road Race to raise funds and bring awareness for The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation which funds research into detecting the early signs of anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. The only treatment for anaphylaxis is epinephrine.
This cause is very important to me as I was diagnosed with multiple food allergies at an early age. Managing my food allergies and the risk of anaphylaxis is something that I deal with on a daily basis and is never far from my mind.
By supporting The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation I hope to help make meaningful strides towards a world where no one lives in fear of an allergic reaction.
