Once again, this August, I am running 7.2 miles for Team Best Buddies in the Falmouth Road Race. When I first started volunteering for Best Buddies in 2010, they had 3 pillars of work: Friendships, Jobs and Leadership. Over our 17 years the programs have grown to add Living Opportunities and Family Support. This brings the Best Buddies Mission from helping parents with a vision for the future at birth and throughout their life. Not only are they making the world more inclusive but helping them with independence through living with those without disabilities and traveling without their guardians but with Best Buddies Staff. 

On May 30th I worked the Best Buddies Challenge and met this great guy who rode his bike 20 miles! In August it will be my turn, to run in his honor and all those who live life with an IDD. I have far too many friends to list them, but you all know who you are! Let's go!
