My name is Philecia and recently I have found a love for running. I feel honored to have been selected to run the Falmouth Road Race with Old Colony Hospice and Palliative Care.
End-of-life care can be scary, daunting, and full of the unknown - similar to starting running. Each and every one of us are running towards something and will someday cross that finish line. Thankfully we never have to do it alone.
Old Colony provides families and patients with the ability to have end-of-life care that they do not need to worry about. My mother has worked in the palliative care realm my entire life.
I am running the Falmouth Road Race in honor of all the patients these professionals have assisted over the years, and to allow them to continue their work.

A little bit about Old Colony Hospice...
Old Colony Hospice has been providing compassionate hospice and palliative care since 1979 and serves over 60 Massachusetts cities and towns.
As a free-standing, non-profit, Medicare-certified, accredited healthcare organization, we rely on donations to help support our patient care programs and services not covered by insurance.
Our group of talented nurses, social workers, counselors, volunteers, and hospice aides give their all 100% of the time to provide the very best quality end-of-life care for those patients and families in need. From the moment you contact Old Colony Hospice, you will experience a uniquely personal approach that focuses on caring for patients and families in a specialized way.
Time is a precious gift that we all wish we had more of … with your support, we can continue to provide compassionate hospice care to our patients and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year.
