My Story…
This year for the Falmouth Road Race I am running with my fellow coworkers at Rockland Trust. We are raising money for American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is a nonprofit humanitarian organization in the United States that helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
In fact, local house fires occur so often that Red Cross volunteers respond to many of them every day across the United States, helping families find temporary shelter, clothing, food, and other essentials.
A lot of people know the Red Cross for big national disasters, but much of its work happens quietly in local communities every single day!
