My Story…
I am proud to be running the Falmouth Road Race in support of Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and I'm asking for your help in reaching my fundraising goal of $1,500.
This cause is deeply personal to me. In 2008, after my third open-heart surgery, I was fortunate enough to receive a wish through Make-A-Wish. My family and I were given the opportunity to travel to Disney World in Orlando, creating memories that brought joy, hope, and a much-needed break during one of the most challenging times in my family's life.
That experience is something I'll always be grateful for, as it truly taught me to celebrate overcoming the challenges life throws your way. Looking back on my wish, it also reminded me that even in the middle of difficult circumstances, moments of happiness can make an incredible difference—not just for the child, but for the entire family.
I look forward to the opportunity to give back by running the Falmouth Road Race and helping Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island continue to create those same unforgettable moments for other children facing critical illnesses.
Description
Together, we create life-changing wish experiences for children with critical illnesses. Every year, approximately 500 Massachusetts and Rhode Island children are newly diagnosed with a serious illness and newly eligible for a wish. Our ultimate goal is to grant wishes for every medically eligible child in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
