My Story…
This year, I have the incredible honor of running the Falmouth Road Race for We Beat Cancer and Team Kieran.
I first met Kieran during my sophomore year at Canton High School on the hockey team. Even as a little boy, he was courageously battling cancer with a strength and determination that inspired everyone around him. Today, years later, he is doing great, and I am truly honored to run in support of We Beat Cancer and Team Kieran and help continue the fight against this devastating disease.
This cause is also deeply personal to me. Seven years ago, we lost my Papa to cancer. Like so many families, we’ve experienced the heartbreak that this disease leaves behind. Cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed it impacts entire families, friends, and communities. It touches everyone. My Auntie beat cancer 19 years ago. I wouldn’t be who I am without them in my life today.
When I cross the starting line, I’ll be running for my Papa, for my Aunts, for Kieran, for every survivor, for those currently fighting, for the families who have lost loved ones, and for the hope that one day no family will have to experience this pain.
I’m asking for your support in helping me make a difference. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps fund life changing cancer research, patient support, and brings hope to those who need it most.
If you’re able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. If you can’t…sharing this post would mean just as much and help spread the word.
Thank you for supporting me, We Beat Cancer and Team Kieran, and everyone impacted by cancer. Together, we can make a difference one mile and one donation at a time.
Description
Thank you so much for supporting We Beat Cancer. We’ve had a Falmouth Road Race team since 2011 and every single dollar raised goes directly to cancer funding. We support patients, organizations and hospitals financially, physically and emotionally. We have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local cancer patients and their families. The cancer fight is all about hope, determination and grit. We strive to make the battle a little easier on cancer patients and their caregivers. From pediatric patients to moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles and everyone that it affects. Thank you so much for your continued support in our fight!
