My Story…
I couldn't be more excited to run for Heroes in Transition for the Falmouth Road Race this year! I hope to raise money for this amazing organization that helps military families and veterans all over Massachusetts get the support they need.
It is so special to me because I have so many family members in the military, including my dad. Throughout my childhood, my dad was overseas or away for a lot of it, leaving my mom to raise my brother and me by herself. This organization can help families like ours with this time apart from family members over a longer period of time. When I was younger I don’t think I realized how much support matters during these times, but now I think if we had an organization like this during that time, it would make us even stronger. Although everyone's experiences with this are different, it showed how much support matters during those challenging times.
My dad is still serving, and I also know how much this organization does for his fellow service members. If you are able to donate it is very much appreciated!!
