My Story…
This year, I'll be running the Falmouth Road Race in support of the K9 Kitt Foundation—a cause that is deeply personal to me.
As part of a law enforcement family, I've seen firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment that officers and their K9 partners bring to their communities every day. My husband proudly served alongside Billy Cushing at the Braintree Police Department, and we've had the privilege of knowing Billy personally. Watching him turn unimaginable tragedy into a mission to support K9 teams across the country has been incredibly inspiring.
The K9 Kitt Foundation was created to honor K9 Kitt's legacy by providing assistance, equipment, training, and resources to law enforcement K9 teams and their handlers when they need it most. Through Billy's leadership, the foundation continues to make a meaningful impact for those who put themselves in harm's way to protect others.
I'm honored to run on behalf of this incredible organization, but I need your help. As part of my commitment to the race, I'm raising $1,500 to support the K9 Kitt Foundation and its mission.

Description
The K9 Kitt Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 wast established in June of 2022. The K9 Kitt Foundation serves as a facilitator, connecting members of the public interested in providing support to K9 Teams around the country who work tirelessly to serve communities and their front-line policing partners who demonstrate a need for assistance. The foundation provides financial assistance to violently injured K9 teams around the United States, provides equipment, training and education as well as raising awareness about the dangers K9 teams face.
