Welcome to my 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
Thank you for stopping by my fundraising page for the National Brain Tumor Society for whom I am running the Falmouth Road Race for the second time.
Raising funds in support of brain tumor research is an especially meaningful cause for me. Why?
#1: Two of my family members (grandmother and sister) as well as two family members of my spouse (aunt and uncle) have been diagnosed with brain tumors, two of these four cases being cancerous, and one fatal.
#2: Given their family history or genetic predisposition, my two children also are now at a significantly higher risk for developing brain tumors at some point in their lives in comparison to the general population.
#3: More than any other type of cancer, brain tumors can have lasting and life-altering physical, cognitive and psychological impacts on a patient's life. And despite years of research, brain cancer survival rates have changed little in recent years while the survival rates for many other types of cancer have significantly improved.
