My Story…
Breast cancer research is near and dear to my heart! My mom is a 2x breast cancer survivor and was treated at MGH for her double mastectomy and continues to be followed by an MGH medical oncologist. Due to family history and dense breasts I’m considered high risk for breast cancer. In my years working at MGH, I treated many women with both terminal cancer and side effects from breast cancer treatments, such as lymphedema, limited shoulder mobility and fatigue that affected their quality of life. I’m passionate about raising awareness about screening and risk reducing treatments for people at high risk for breast cancer, as well as fundraising for research that helps increase survivorship, function and quality of life, so women can not only survive cancer, but thrive for many years after.
