Description
Vineyard Havens Impact
Vineyard Havens gives the gift of time away, and time together, to families facing cancer. We give all-expenses paid vacation to families facing cancer so they can rest, reconnect and make new memories again on Martha's Vineyard.
Vineyard Havens was formed in 2018 by Jeanne DeSanto after her then four-year-old-son was diagnosed with cancer. While supporting him through treatment and meeting other families with children facing cancer, she recognized a shared loss: everyday joy, carefree moments, and the simple experiences that make childhood feel normal had been replaced by medical stress, trauma, and constant worry for the whole family.
Vineyard Havens exists to restore moments of joy and normal family life during an incredibly challenging time. Through our unique approach to cancer respite, families are given a safe, supportive, and welcoming space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy time together outside of the hospital or clinic. Our mission is simple yet profound: We give all-expenses paid vacations to families facing cancer so they can rest, reconnect and make new memories again.
