Our story…

Welcome to our page!

We’re proud and excited to share that the National Scleroderma Foundation New England Chapter is running the iconic Falmouth Road Race to raise awareness and support for the scleroderma community. Scleroderma is a rare, chronic autoimmune disease that can cause hardening of the skin and affect vital organs, often leading to daily challenges that are invisible but life-changing. Through this race, we’re running to shine a light on a disease that needs greater awareness, understanding, and funding.

Our mission is to advance medical research, promote disease awareness, and provide education and support to people living with scleroderma, their families, and support networks, while remaining a relentless force in the fight to find a cure.

By donating to our team, you help turn steps into impact and hope into action. Thank you for supporting our runners💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Description

National Scleroderma Foundation New England Chapter

We are running for the thousands of individuals and families across Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont who are affected by scleroderma. We run to provide education, support, and connection to those navigating this complex and often-overlooked disease—and to ensure they never have to face it alone. Each step we take is fueled by our commitment to advance research, expand vital resources, and raise awareness throughout New England.

Our team has set an individual fundraising goal of $1,500 per runner, with a collective goal of at least $12,000. Every dollar raised directly supports our mission—funding research toward a cure, strengthening support and educational programs, and shining a brighter light on scleroderma. We run in solidarity with everyone impacted by this disease, standing together for hope, progress, and ultimately, a cure 🌟
