Domestic violence affects one in four women and one in nine men in the U.S. One in twelve teens have experienced either physical or sexual abuse in a relationship, but only 33% ever told anyone. Abuse can happen to anyone regardless of their gender, race, or economic background. By recognizing the warning signs of abuse, we can help break the harmful cycles that enable domestic violence in the first place. That’s how we reach a world free from domestic violence, and that is why we need REACH. 

Help me support survivors of domestic violence by donating to my runner page for REACH Beyond Domestic Violence! REACH is a Waltham-based nonprofit that empowers individuals, families, and communities to overcome domestic violence and embrace healthy relationships. Their core values of inclusion, unity, solidarity, trust, and change drive their work as they advocate for survivors and develop prevention and education resources designed to break harmful societal norms and stop abuse before it starts. 

Donations made to my runner page will go directly towards funding survivor-centric services and resources at REACH such as their children’s program, their emergency shelter, their innovative workshops for survivors led by community volunteers, and their court advocacy services. I’ve got my running shoes laced up and am ready to cross the finish line. Please consider helping me cross the fundraising finish line as well!
