Our story…

Rendalisa was born at just 22 weeks and 3 days. Weighing only 1lb. 2oz., she spent the first 144 days of her life at the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. She fought through multiple complications like Chronic Lungs Disease, internal bowel perforations, and a rare heart condition which required surgery to correct.

During this time, Rendalisa’s parents, Sofia and Julian, were fortunate enough to be blessed with residence at the Ronald McDonald House, giving them the ability to be bedside with her, morning and night, all 144 days of her hospitalization. A feat that wouldn’t have been possible without the Ronald McDonald House, due to their home being in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the time.

Today, Rendalisa has nearly graduated from all specialty clinics she was first referred to, has begun to catch up on the growth charts, and is hitting all of her developmental milestones, including walking!

The Rocheford family recognizes they wouldn’t have made it here without the help and support of the kind and generous hearts of family, friends, and those around them. This community of people became known to Sofia and Julian as Rendalisa’s Affection Collection.
