Join us on September 19, 2026 for the Cider Run; a uniquely Green trail running experience bringing together the tastes and charm of Slabtown Cider Co. with the unforgettable beauty of the hidden trails at Woodnewton Farms. Come and run happy in this rare opportunity to explore some of the secret trails of the Oak Ridges Moraine. Roll through mixed forest, grind some gritty hills and let it all go through gently rolling recovery spots. Enjoy this exclusive opportunity to run at this private property and race with us through the beautiful trails that Woodnewton, Uxbridge has to offer.

1. All prices listed above include 13% HST sales tax.
2. An online processing fee will be applied to your registration into this event.
3. All funds payable in Canadian Dollars.

Race distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions up to the day of the race.
Post-Race Food Options:
Slabtown Cider Co.. will be open and ready to serve nutritious and local fare. If you hope to eat at Slabtown post-race, book a reservation in advance as space is limited. Please check out their menu options here: https://www.slabtowncider.com/eatery
In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, please do not bring the following on the race course:
No dogs
No headphones
No strollers or baby joggers
No nordic walking poles
PARKING: Parking on site. Car pooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
WASHROOMS: Washroom facilities and outhouses are available at the Start/Finish area.
SPECTATORS: Spectators Welcome...best viewing is from Start/Finish area.
AWARDS and PRIZES: The awards ceremony will be held following the completion of all competitors. Awards are given to the top three female, male and non-binary finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as the top three female, male and non-binary overall finishers. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed. Thank you to all of our local community partners for supporting our race.
PROUDLY CUP FREE: For all races and events, please bring your own reusable cup/container. Thank you for being part of our commitment to the environment!
NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS: I understand that entry fees are not refundable, transferable or deferrable for any reason, including but not limited to: injuries (running-related or otherwise), changes in family circumstances, including pregnancy, medical or health issues, accidents, family emergencies, or event cancellation. All sales are final. The Event may be cancelled at the discretion of Green Newton Adventures due to inclement weather and including but not limited to: strong winds, tornado, earthquake, flooding, fire, extreme heat or cold, or other acts of God, government order, or other emergency. In the event that an Event is cancelled or postponed, Green Newton Adventures will make every effort to reschedule the race to a later date but is under no contractual obligation to do so. If the registrant cannot make the rescheduled date, the registrant acknowledges that no refund will be granted. Please purchase online Race Roster cancellation insurance to better support your last minute potential cancellation needs.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
CLOTHING RECOMMENDATIONS:

Volunteer Specific Draw Prizes
Venue Set Up
Arrive by 7:30 am
Set up tents, tables, flags etc, under supervision of Race Director, Course Manager or Volunteer Coordinator
Capable of lifting and moving boxes, tents etc.
Expect to be done by 9:00 am
This position allows you to be able to run any of the races that day or volunteer in another position - Registration, Tear Down, Course Marshal, Food
Registration
Arrive by 8:00 am
Expect to be there until 11:00 am
Hand out participants' bibs and giveaways
Transfer participants to different distance races (if applicable)
Answer any possible participant questions (or find someone with the answers) on race day
potentially still participate the Apple 8K course (later start time)
Due to the nature and time of this position, you could only volunteer for this position and venue tear down (if looking for another volunteer position).
Aid Station
Arrive by 8:00 am
Position is until 2:00 pm
Cheer and encourage participants
Set up table and jugs (we are a cup free event, runners need to provide their own cup or bottle)
Ensure water supply is adequate, call if you need more (number will be provided)
Break down table and jugs after last runner
Course Marshall
Arrive by 8:00 am
Position is until 1:00 pm
Direct participants in the proper direction
Be a point of contact for participants on course, in case of emergency
Due to the nature of the position, you can only volunteer for Venue Set up or Tear Down (if looking for another volunteer position).
Be outgoing and encouraging will be great for this position and being comfortable letting people know which direction to go.
Venue Tear Down
Start around 2:00 pm (after awards)
Work with the Race Director, Course Manager and Volunteer Coordinator
Comfortable lifting and moving tents, tables, boxes etc
Typically completed 1.5 hours after awards
You can volunteer in any other position or run any event, should you choose
Course Sweeper
Work in a team of two and depart after the last wave of runners begin. Pull flags and signage and make sure no runners are left out on course.
Involves handling metal flags and carrying a backpack (provided)
Food Prep
Arrive by 9am
Prepare food for post race. Usually involves cutting fruit, keeping stock topped up with food items, collecting waste, washing dishes.
Capable of lifting boxes.
Expect to be there until 2:00 pm
GREEN INITIATIVES
PARKING: Parking is available on site at Woodnewton/Slabtown Cider Co.., but please try to be mindful of the environment and car pool when possible as parking is limited.
ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES: 100% of all Kids' 1K event will be donated to JUMPSTART. 50% of the entry fee for the Sauce Hike will be donated to the Woodnewton Farm Trail Restoration fund.
