Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVC Foundation) is the charitable arm of Credit Valley Conservation.
Island Lake Conservation Area has been an amazing partner of the Island Lake Classic race for over ten years. Their recent 25 year plan includes several new improvements to the park, one of which includes the Vicki Barron Trail Re-Route Project.
If you would like to help support the Park, you can make a donation with your registration and you can also ask your family/friends to support your run by sending them the donation link.
The Friends of Island Lake have adopted the Vicki Barron Trail Re-Route Project as their fundraising priority for the next 5-years. There is a strong need to re-route this trail so that it becomes a fully accessible lakeside trail that will increase safety and enhance the visitor experience at Island Lake CA. The projected length of trail will be 500m/half a km which will be a combination of raised boardwalk on helical piers and gravel screenings and the approximate cost of the project is $1.2 million dollars.
