Adaptive Adventures is a national 501c3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Colorado.

Mission: Bringing progressive outdoor adventures to individuals with physical disabilities and their families, regardless of location, equipment needs or economic status. 

Vision: To build an environment where individuals with physical disabilities have equitable access to explore outdoor adventures by focusing on independence, community, health and wellness.

Outdoor sports are empowering. That’s the idea that brought our founders together. As individuals with physical disabilities, they quickly reached another belief: Outdoor recreation should be accessible to everyone.

More than 25 years later, Adaptive Adventures remains the world’s only fully mobile adaptive recreation provider. We’ve helped over 100,000 participants find joy, overcome trauma and establish purpose – thanks to these core principles:
