When I graduated from college in 2013, I had no idea that getting involved with First Glance would become such an important part of my life. What started as an opportunity to serve has grown into a deep passion for the mission and the students we have the privilege of walking alongside every day.

For the past four years, I've served as First Glance's grant writer. Behind every grant proposal is a story of hope—students who need a safe place to belong, caring adults who invest in them, warm meals shared around a table, and opportunities for young people to discover their value and purpose. I get the unique privilege of helping secure the resources that make those stories possible.

I'm running the Akron Marathon Half Marathon not just as a personal challenge, but because I believe wholeheartedly in what First Glance does. Every mile represents the students and families whose lives are being impacted through mentoring, meals, after-school programs, leadership development, and the love of Christ.
