My Story…
My reason why is my son, Jaxon.
Jaxon was born with congenital heart defects and has already faced battles no child should ever have to face. He has endured surgeries, hospital stays, fear, pain, and moments that tested all of us long before he was old enough to understand them. And through it all, he keeps smiling, keeps fighting, and keeps showing up.
So when running gets hard, I remind myself who I’m running for.
My son learned how to be brave before he even learned how to ride a bike. The least I can do is choose hard things too, to show him that no matter what life puts in front of him, he is stronger than it. That he is not defined by the scars on his chest, but by the strength in his heart, his resiliency, and his ability to do hard things.
Every kilometre I run is for Jaxon, and for every little heart still fighting. ❤️
