Special Kids Race

Join us for the 15th Annual Special Kids Race on Saturday, March 14, 2026, where every step you take makes a difference #ForTheKids.

This community event welcomes everyone—whether you're a seasoned runner, casual jogger, leisurely walker, or a family looking to join in together. The course begins at the Murfreesboro Medical Center, guiding you through a scenic flat route that features the historic Stones River Battlefield and the beautiful Gateway Island. In addition to the race, there will be a Family Fun Zone, refreshments and activities for all ages.

15K & 10K Pace Requirement

Both races start at 7:00 AM. A 12:30 min/mile pace is required to ensure runners exit the Battlefield by 8:00 AM. If this pace cannot be maintained: Participants will be moved to the 5K, or you may continue running, but Special Kids course support will no longer be available. (no winning or timing available)

5:45 AM – Packet Pick-Up Opens
6:30 AM – Pvolve leads stretches for 15K, 10K, and 5K runners (Start/Finish Line)
7:00 AM – 15K & 10K Begin
7:15 AM – 5K Begins
7:50 AM – 5K Awards Ceremony
8:05 AM – 10K Awards Ceremony
8:20 AM – 15K Awards Ceremony
8:30 AM – Pvolve leads stretches for Family Fun Run (FFR Start/Finish Line)
9:00 AM – 1 Mile Family Fun Run Begins

  2. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
  3. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
