our mission

At its core, Prairie Harriers is about more than just running—it's about showcasing the incredible athletes of Saskatchewan and strengthening our trail-running community. Donations to the Prairie Harriers go directly toward covering the cost of sending four junior athletes to nationals — including travel, accommodations, and meals. Nationals bring together the best trail and mountain runners in Canada for a high-level race weekend that showcases the sport at its highest level, with challenging terrain, deep competition, and an unforgettable atmosphere. This opportunity matters. For young athletes from Saskatchewan, competing at nationals is often the first time they see what’s possible beyond local races — where passion meets potential, and dreams turn into clear pathways.

Junior Harrier Eligibility Requirements:
  • Accepting four U20 athletes per year. Runners must meet the standard at the Beaver Fever 10: 59:30 for men and 1:03:30 for women.
