Help Heather raise money

I’ve set a personal goal to run 10km on July 18th as part of the Tillsonburg Running with the Bulls event.

This annual race supports families with children and young adults who are facing financial hardship due to a cancer diagnosis. It’s an incredible cause, and one that truly hits close to home for me.

Recently, my family experienced the loss of my aunt Judy to cancer. Seeing what she went through, and how it affected our family, helped me understand the real impact cancer has on those around you.

As I prepare to graduate from nursing school next month, I’ve also had the opportunity to care for patients and families affected by cancer during my placements at local hospitals. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how much support—both emotional and financial—families need during such challenging times. 

This run is more than just a personal challenge—it’s a way for me to give back, honour my aunt, and support families in our community who are going through similar battles.
