My Story…
On May 9th, I am stepping out for my first 5K: Quincy’s Bridge the Gap to Health Race. But for me, this race is personal.
As a former foster parent, I’ve had a direct seat at the table with Connect Child and Family Solutions. I know how vital their work is, and I also know how much a renovated, warm visitation space will change the experience for children in our local foster care system.
We are raising funds to create a 'home away from home' where families can share meals and make memories while working toward reunification. This project isn't just about paint and furniture; it’s about dignity and connection for families in our community.
This is my first time taking on a 5K, and your support is the best motivation I could ask for. Every dollar goes toward the QMG Foundation’s efforts to support Connect and other vital youth initiatives in Quincy. Let’s build this bridge together!
Description
Quincy Medical Group’s Bridge the Gap to Health Race has always been more than a race. The race has been a way to bring the community together for the greater good of the community. The motivation to participate varies by participant. Whether it’s to focus on one’s personal health goals, to come together with friends and family for the experience, or for the cause, the race has become a community tradition. No matter the reason, the race was created to help bridge the gap of a need in our community.
