My Story…

Through my diagnosis and treatment in 2025, I am so very fortunate to have a great medical team and also the support of friends and my husband and son, Graham and Langley. Thank you to you all!! The serous endometrial cancer I had is a Grade 3 cancer but was caught at Stage 1 when it had not spread to other tissue. After having surgery, radiation, and half the rounds of chemo that a later stage patient would be prescribed, I am now in the watch phase through the next 5 years. My experience highlights the lack of education and research on gynecological cancer. As someone comfortable with numbers, it frustrates me to no end that while the breast cancer I was diagnosed with in 2020 has a 3 in 100 chance of killing me, I am prescribed daily medicine to prevent its return BUT there is nothing to do but watch an inconclusive protein marker for the potential return of the serous cancer which has a 1 in 10 chance of killing me. Thank you for joining me to help do better for women!
