My Story…
The last 2+ years since I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer have challenged me in ways I never would have imagined. I have grown in more ways than I can count, but cancer has made life more challenging for sure. Ovarian Cancer is a daily mental battle. The fear, the uncertainty, the living life in 21 day chemo cycles, the grieving the life you once knew and dreams of the future... it changes you. I have met the most absolutely amazing people on this journey. My teal sisters, who I have met through Colorado Gynecological Cancer Alliance, are walking the same path as me and truly understand the challenges. We have celebrated the successes together and supported each other through the bad times My weekly support group got me through the really scary early diagnosis days with so many treatment questions, I couldn't have done it without them.
