This incredible event was founded by Colorado native, Jodi Brammeier, to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Jodi was diagnosed in 2008 with late stage metastasized ovarian cancer and tragically lost her battle with the deadly disease August 2nd, 2010. Her mission was to make people more aware of ovarian cancer symptoms, so they might be diagnosed earlier and live. There is no screening test for ovarian cancer so recognizing the symptoms and risk factors is vital to surviving. Our mission is to keep Jodi’s dream alive by raising awareness of the symptoms of all types of gynecologic cancer and by providing people with the knowledge they need in order to make informed health decisions that can save their lives. Jodi’s Race is a 5K Run/Walk, and a 1-mile Family Fun Run. In addition to the run/walk, there will be a vendor expo showcasing products and services that support the health and wellness of women. In our inaugural year, the race drew over 1,700 people. Jodi’s Race is one of the largest ovarian cancer races in the country and one of the top 10 races in Colorado. We are expecting 2,000 participants in 2026.
