Gavin Rides Again

My hip is Angry with me these days. Thankfully, my new “Step- through” (new name for a Women’s Bike) has made it easier to get riding again in the 2026 Gran Fondo Lake Huron Charity Hospital Ride. 

This year the fundraising is true to my heart as it is all about Heart. We are raising half a million dollars to purchase new Cardiac Imaging Equipment and Upgrades to our Crash Carts (Emergency Resuscitation Equipment). I personally will feel better knowing they have decent equipment for Emergency Heart and Stroke response close to home. As my doctor says, if I don’t lose weight and cut my pint quota in half, I may be taking advantage of the new Cardiac Equipment. I told him my glass is half full and he laughed. 

So it’s that time again, I am asking you if you can have a heart to help a heart, I would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me in this years hospital bike-a-thon charity fundraiser.
