After a significant medical event just ten years ago, I learned not only that the headaches I have had since childhood were migraines (w/o aura), but also that my particular chronic migraine condition is responsible for a host of other past and current health challenges. I have also had to face the reality that I am one of a smaller percentage of women whose migraine episodes continue well into my 70s.
Fortunately I still have the ability and enough sheer determination to be an active and contributing member of my community, despite living with 'this poorly wired brain' for so long.
