Our story…
My story: I’ve been fighting chronic migraines since my junior year of high school, but in December 2025, my battle changed. I began experiencing hemiplegic migraines, a rare and debilitating form of the disease that mimics a stroke, causing temporary paralysis and intense neurological distress.
The Reality of the Last Two Years While many of you see me on my "good" days, my life behind the scenes has been defined by:
-7 hospital admissions within the past 2 years
-1 procedure
-countless ER visits
-Numerous Doctors appointments
-6 failed medications
-The uncertainty of waking up and not knowing if my body will cooperate.
-Navigating a world that isn't built for those with "invisible" illnesses yet alone visible ones.
-Family, friends, and community associations not understanding there is not one fix.
Why Research is the Only Way Out The truth is, we are still scratching the surface of how the brain works. I am fundraising for Miles for Migraine because we need more than just "management" tools we need a revolution in neurological research. Specifically, I am advocating for better understanding and targeted treatments for complex migraines like mine.
The Goal: More Pain-Free Days No one should have to spend their transition into adulthood in a hospital bed. Yet alone hunched over in pain or trying one of TikTok’s “remedies.” My goal is to fund the science that will give me, and millions of others, our lives back. Every donation is a step toward a future where a "pain-free day" isn't a rare miracle, but a daily reality.
