Our story…

We are running to support our friends at Community Matters Cafe, which serves as an extension program of Charlotte Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization that provides free, residential recovery services to men and women struggling with substance abuse and homelessness.


Graduates of Charlotte Rescue Mission's recovery program have the opportunity to transition back into the community through the Community Matters Cafe Life Skills Program. The program addresses conflict resolution, expressing concerns, and healthy ways to cope with conflict and stress all within both a classroom and restaurant setting. During this time, the program covers all housing and transportation expenses.
