My Story…

In 2006 we lost our son Alex to suicide. Our family was forever changed and we struggled to find a way to manage our loss and rebuild our lives. Toronto Distress Centre's Survivor Support program, and the peer support from their volunteers, helped us to process our grief and build hope for the future.  Being an SSP volunteer has made an enormous difference in my life. I will be forever grateful for DCGT for their support. We are walking in Alex's memory and in honour of all the survivors that we have supported through SSP in years past.
