Help us raise money

The Bell Family will be participating in the Hustle For the House, the major fundraiser for Ronald McDonald Houses.  These houses hold a very important spot in our hearts, as they were a place that allowed us to be close to our children.  We have spent time at the Red Deer house; these stays were short, and then last year we spent 170 days calling the Calgary Ronald McDonald House our home, while our daughter underwent treatment for childhood cancer.  The staff, volunteers and the other families there became our friends; the house gave our family a place where we could all be together.  The kids were able to play together; it was a safe place that the hospital allowed Emberly to go to in between treatments and let her feel like a normal kid.  Jason and I, being able to talk with other families, helped us feel like we weren't alone when we couldn't be with our other friends.  

Ronald McDonald Houses just gets it; they know what to do to help families when they need it the most.  These houses rely on donations to help provide the crafts, activities, snacks, etc. that we as a family used daily.
