If you knew my dad, you probably remember his laugh. The kind that made his eyes disappear & filled an entire room. He loved big, never met a stranger, & devoted his life to helping others. What many people may not know is that organ donation gave him a 2nd chance at life. That 2nd chance meant more time with his family, more memories, & the opportunity to become a passionate ambassador for LifeGift. He shared his transplant journey throughout the community, encouraging others to register as donors & helping people understand the lifesaving impact of donation. I was honored to stand beside him at those events. On 9/19/26, I’ll be running the 2nd Chance Run in his honor & in support of LifeGift, an organization that meant so much to our family. My goal is to raise $2,000 to help LifeGift continue educating communities, supporting families, & creating more 2nd chances. Every step I take is for my dad, for donor families, & for the incredible gift of life that made his story possible.
