Help Emily raise money

I am a student who is currently attending Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Human Trafficking rates are higher in Halifax than in any other Canadian province. Before I got involved with various human trafficking organizations, I had limited knowledge about the prevalence and signs of human trafficking, as well as the groups of people who are most vulnerable to being taken. This heinous crime is not spoken about enough, which is why I am hosting Joy In Action in Halifax this year: I aim to start conversations amongst current Halifax residents to spread awareness. I believe that it would be highly beneficial if teachers, professors, and more of the general public had a greater knowledge of early signs and risks of human trafficking so that we can fight to prevent this terrible crime from occurring. Some of the greatest tools to combat human trafficking are education and awareness, although it is equally important to support victims in any way we can. Through Joy In Action 2026, I hope to spark cognizance of human trafficking within both those who are able to attend the event and whoever they can pass the awareness along to.
