My Story…
For years, I was told it’s all in my head, there’s nothing wrong, and I need to learn how to manage my pain better. Finally, in 2023 I met a doctor who changed my life, he listened to my concerns, and he explored until we found an answer. Stage 4 endometriosis.
Overwhelmed with emotions, I finally had validation that my pain was real, and something was happening to cause the severe symptoms I was experiencing. It wasn’t all just in my head.
Endometriosis is a constant sacrifice. The flare-ups I experience are so severe they often land me back in the hospital. I’ve had two surgeries, barely a year apart from one another. It’s exhausting, painful, and isolating. And yet, I keep going. Thankful for my friends and family who have been there for me through every setback, every surgery, and every late-night emergency—no matter the hour. Their strength helps me find mine. I ran this 5K not just for myself, but for the millions of silently battling this disease everyday. 💛🎗️
