My dad’s experience in hospice care was one of the most profound and emotional chapters of our lives. It was a time marked by both deep sadness and unexpected moments of peace, connection, and even grace. The hospice team played an incredible role in this transition. Nurses, PSW, Volunteers, and counselors did not just care for my dad’s physical needs—they cared for him as a person and supported our family through every step. In the end, hospice care gave our dad something invaluable: dignity, comfort, and peace. In addition, it gave our family the chance to say goodbye in a way that felt personal and meaningful.
