My Story…
Since 2017, I have been a licensed specialized foster parent and have had the privilege of caring for children with special needs and complex needs placements. Over the years, fostering has become deeply personal to me and to our family. It has given us the opportunity to love, support, and advocate for children who need safety, stability, and connection.
Our current foster son has been such a gift, and this journey has shown us just how important strong community support is for foster families. Since moving to Elmhurst, this organization has been an incredible source of encouragement, care, and support for our family. They have truly made a difference in our lives.
We are walking to help raise awareness and support so that more foster children and families can receive the same kind of love, connection, and support that has meant so much to us. Thank you for being here, for cheering us on, and for supporting this mission.

Please help me make a difference for local foster children and the families that support them!
- A $25 donation will fund a welcome Love Box to a family on the waitlist
- A $50 donation will cover the cost of a background check to ensure safe, trusted volunteer relationships
- A $100 donation will fund trauma-informed training for a volunteer supporting a youth in foster care
- A $250 donation will cover monthly support and coaching for a volunteer-youth match to help the relationship grow
- A $500 donation will bring us one step closer to hiring a second Case Manager to increase the number of children, youth, and families we walk alongside
- A $1,000 donation will cover the onboarding of 10 new Love Box volunteers this year
