My Story…
This is my 8th annual Miles for Migraine walk.
Migraine advocacy is super close to my heart, which is why I keep walking year after year. In college I started struggling with headaches here and there, which quickly developed into battling chronic daily migraines. It took quite a toll on my physical and mental health, and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone to experience.
There were years where I felt like I was just getting by. I missed out on so many things that once brought me joy like concerts, movies, drinks with friends… anything that felt normal for someone my age.
Thankfully, things are so much better now. After years of trying different treatments, I finally feel like I have my life back, and I'm incredibly grateful for the newer medications that have made such a difference.
That's why I continue to support Miles for Migraine. I hope it helps raise awareness, fund research, and reminds people who are struggling that there is hope. Things really can get better.
If you're able to, I'd love your support by sharing this post, making a donation, or joining me for the walk. Your support truly means the world to me!!
